Welcome to the New Age Technologies team blog site.
The new VMware Desktop certification is intended to identify individuals with the capabilities and experience needed to move software applications from traditional desktops to virtual desktops. So far, one certification, the VMware Associate 4 - Desktop is currently offered and VMware recommends taking the VMware View Install Configure Manage course to prepare, which is certainly a great course for those, who are experienced with vSphere, but not with VMware View. For a more advanced look into VMware View, especially for anyone who may be interested in seeking further VMware Desktop Certifications (the soon to be release VCP - Desktop and VCAP - Desktop), I recommend taking the new VMware Desktop FastTrack class which combines contents from the following three classes into one: - VMware View:Install, Configure, Manage
- Application Virtualization with VMware ThinApp
- VMware View: Design Best Practices
The VMware View Desktop - FastTrack class is a 5 day, 10 hour per day class, which New Age Technologies is currently offering in Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Nashville.
Additionally, VMware now offers FastTrack classes for vSphere. The vSphere Advanced FastTrack class combines two advanced classes, the vSphere Troubleshooting and vSphere Manage for Performance classes. The vSphere Automation class combines PowerCLI class with vSphere Install Configure Manage class. These are the best classes to take to prepare for the new VCAP-DCA exam.
